SemiCab is proud to announce that we’ve been recognized as a Cool Vendor in the April 16, 2020 Cool Vendors in Supply Chain report by Gartner. The report profiles five emerging vendors that supply chain technology leaders should watch for their ability to drive enhanced business value. According to the report, “Each of the vendors selected for this research offers a novel approach to the use of embedded or emerging technologies” (1) and “these cool vendors target the need for better and more collaborative execution and decision making across increasingly complex and ever-expanding supply chain networks and business ecosystems.” (2)
The report highlights how “Most commonly, digitization is applying digital technologies to improve supply chain performance,” (3) and “Digital continues to be a strategic imperative for most supply chain organizations.” (4) This insight is based on data gathered in a 2019 Supply Chain Technology User Wants and Needs survey, where respondents were asked, “Where is your organization currently investing or planning to invest for digital in your supply chain?” The survey found that “almost six in 10 organizations had already invested or were investing in digital for the supply chain.” (5) We believe this is great news for digital platforms like SemiCab.
SemiCab facilitates communication, enables collaboration, and brings transparency to the industry. By taking advantage of modern technology and advanced optimization techniques, we remove empty miles, generate new capacity, and share the value created across the ecosystem. We are honored to be named a 2020 Gartner Cool Vendor. For us, the recognition solidifies how important our goals of reducing empty miles and creating transparency to unify the long-haul industry for decades to come truly are.
